Selling sex to strangers

As a writer I seem to have developed a Victorian curtain approach to sex, dancing around the topic without explicitly talking about the act itself. I have made money off selling sex to strangers through my writing, including smutty stories and factual articles, and in doing so it has opened my approach to sex in unexpected ways. Sex is both a wonderful topic to talk and ruminate on, especially when discussing intimate aspects of society, yet there are always boundaries that I personally choose not to cross, a self-censoring that still makes me a bit coy.

F1NN5STER’s battlepass on OnlyFans is a good recent example of approaching the hint of sex to get eyeballs and drive fans to pay for content. As of this writing F1NN has not made explicit content, though they are pushing the boundaries to see how far people will go on their journey with them. It sells enough for them to continue doing the content, and within his fandom it is treated as a memeable moment which you can engage with if you wish. Honesty, good for them, especially as content creation is getting harder and harder as platform algorithms drive a certain style and aesthetic.

I see it with my own writing that the moment I post a sex-based piece I get far more engagement and clicks, and unless my work is boosted sex is a primary money earner for me. This is in part why I only write about sex once a month, as while I…
