Rainbow Hospitality
Last week I helped launch a new trans and queer inclusive pressure group called Rainbow Hospitality which is dedicated to a trans inclusive society where everyone is free to express and conceive of themselves as they wish. Our work engages with policies impacting every member of society, as we believe that trans exclusionary polices harm every person be they transgender or cisgender. The organisation seeks to build a global coalition to fight for trans and queer rights in a world where both are increasingly under threat.
Our goals are to build a trans and queer inclusive society where everyone can thrive and express themselves without fear or prejudice. This is has become urgent in light of US, UK, and global exclusionary policies which have seen LGBTQI+ people marginalised for expressing their identities.
We are an apolitical organisation unaffiliated with any UK political party or organisation as we believe this enables us to engage with people from across the political spectrum to further our advocacy for trans and queer people. However, we are political in the sense we fight for political change both legislative and legal. The erosion of trans and queer rights impacts everyone’s freedom to exist as themselves in the world, and as such we fight for a pluralistic world from abuse, harassment, and violence simply for existing as your affirmed self.
