No-one is transing LGBQI+ kids
It is a deep irony that gender critical feminists call trans folk groomers when they advocate for trans kids. Many trans adults will tell you that if they had had the opportunity to transition when they were younger they would have jumped at the chance, with people like myself transitioning at the earliest opportunity as soon as they could. Many of the issues trans adults face if they transition post-puberty such as hair, facial structure, voice, height etc are alleviated by transitioning at a younger age, especially if you can access effective trans healthcare. Many anti-trans campaigners see the small percentage of de-transitioners and use them as a stick to beat the trans community with, failing to see the vast majority of trans kids have no regrets.
How we got to the point where beating down trans kids by saying we are transing away the gay is based as much on the anti-gay tactics of the 1970s and 80s as it is current transphobic trends. Every anti-trans slur has been used against the LGB community in years past, with gay men and lesbians being consistently called groomers for most of Christian history. Indeed, there is a significant amount of Stockholm syndrome present when LGB folk use the same attacks received against them on the trans community. They also forget that there are many LGBQ+ trans folk who remain LGBQ+ when the transition, myself included.
